Bodega Marine Reserve is a 362-acre nature reserve and marine reserve on the coast of northern California, located in the vicinity of the Bodega Marine Laboratory on Bodega Head. It is a unit of the University of California Natural Reserve System, administered by the University of California, Davis.
An Organized Research Unit of the University of California, Davis the Bodega Marine Laboratory is a specialized facility equipped with a meteorological and oceanographic observation network and long term data set, the Cadet Hand Library, teaching classrooms, wet labs, seawater system, greenhouses, Dive Training facility, Boating Safety Program, facility-wide animal care and support, Bodega Marine Reserve, housing and conference facilities, vessel fleet, and more. The BML community includes faculty, researchers, visiting scientists, undergraduate and graduate students, staff and volunteers.
